A new gig at Poynter (though I’m keeping my day job!)

THERE’S NOTHING I ENJOY MORE than learning about leadership and then using that knowledge to help others grow. I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best over the years — and there’s been no better place for a newsroom leader to learn than The Poynter Institute.  That’s why it’s a special honor to be among three acclaimed journalists named as Adjunct Faculty members at Poynter for 2016.

I’m still keeping my day job, but will spend some of my copious free time on the Poynter campus in beautiful St. Petersburg, Fla. contributing to on-site workshops throughout the year. I’ll also blog on topics pertinent to newsroom leadership and transformation for Poynter’s website, posts which will eventually find their way here. Thanks to Poynter President Tim Franklin and Kelly McBride for this fantastic opportunity to contribute to the Institute and to the craft.
